Anne Frank - (1947)
The
“unexpurgated” version has Anne examining her hidden bits and pieces. Some
American schools have put this version only in their libraries, using the
earlier edited version in class. The Alabama textbook committee advised schools
not to use the book because “it’s a bit of a downer”.
